FAQs

  • Yes, I offer a 15-minute free consultation. Click the “Contact Now” button above and let’s set up a time to talk.

  • You may attend the first few sessions until your child becomes more comfortable.

  • Prior to our first session, you will fill out an intake questionnaire(s). I will review this with you and ask additional questions based on your responses.

We will talk about what your goals are, and what you hope to gain from working with me. I will then recommend an assessment or therapy plan.

  • There is no required list of things to bring to the appointment. I’m usually able to learn what I need to know by reviewing the intake questionnaire and conducting an interview with you.

However, if you do have any documents you feel would be helpful (such as report cards or prior medical or psychological assessment reports), please bring those, as well.

  • This varies greatly depending on the child’s age, motivation, and severity of symptoms.

If we have several weeks go by without noticeable progress, we will want to come together and discuss what adjustments may be needed.

  • I will work with the client on setting short-term goals to work on before our next session. I assess that progress is being made when clients consistently meet or make substantial progress toward their goals.

Overall progress is achieved when clients meet or make substantial progress toward their long-term goals.

- Shaila O., Parent of a 6 year old

I am so thankful for the parent consultation/education services I received from JaJa Lang!

I was in need of strategies and tools to help my young son with all things related to executive functioning, from organization to beginning a task, as well just following through on basic directions.

At home I felt like nothing I did was working to change the behavior, however after beginning my sessions with Mrs. Lang I began to have hope and more importantly I realized that it wasn’t just my son’s behavior that was going to improve, so would mine.

Mrs. Lang is so patient, soft-spoken, and understanding.  She really helps you work through the barriers and challenges and is consistently providing you with valuable tools and techniques that can help your child be more successful at school as well as build confidence.

My son has made so much progress and I can’t express into words how much I appreciate Mrs. Lang’s help.  She has changed our life at home for the better!
